The Vision

REFORMATION3

The Vision

We’ve seen the books and read the articles by people disillusioned with church. If I had one guess why, it is because God is moving among us. He’s gently pointing out that our idea of church has missed the larger picture of His work in the world. The Church has left out 90% of the Gospel and kept only 10% – the introduction to the message has become the message. We must reform our understanding of the Gospel of the Kingdom and discover a faith that influences our thinking and actions in every area of living! The Great Commission is to preach the Gospel of Salvation and teach the Gospel of the Kingdom! Martin Luther said, “A Gospel that does not deal with the issues of the day is not the Gospel at all.” Our society and culture will not change because of a Church revival. Revival and Reformation must run together continually with the Church being equally committed to both. Our mandate is to fulfil Two Scriptural Commissions: (Gen. 1:26-28) – the original covenant that shows us why God created us and our mission on the earth, and (Matt. 28:19) – to disciple nations. Only then can we can reach our generation, shape our nation and change our world! The Church is entering a Third Great Reformation, part of which is the restoration of a true biblical model for a fully functional Five-fold Team Ministry in the church today. This shift will see it break free from many of the man-made religious, unbiblical models and structures, that particularly in the context of Europe and the western world have caused it to lose ground, lose relevance, lose credibility and momentum! What would the Church look like today if we really stopped taking control of it and let the Holy Spirit lead?” I believe this is exactly what the world needs to see!
